Mentoring and workshops
We have a mentoring service facilitated through a network of mentors who provide a supporting hand to young people aged 16+ aiming to improve their employability skills and guiding them to their desired career path. Our service helps mentees gain new experiences and build confidence while teaching mentees to trust their skills and knowledge.
Our mentoring services is available either through our accommodation and floating support services as well as externally (via schools, social enterprises and workplaces). Our main mentoring goals are to:
Giving impartial, valuable advice – Our mentors can valuable insights, based on past experiences into what it takes to get ahead. They are the "sounding board" for ideas, helping our mentees decide on the best course of action in difficult situations.
Develop knowledge and skills – They can help you identify the skills and expertise you need to succeed. They may teach you what you need to know, or advise you on where to go for the information you need.
Improve your communication skills – Our mentors help mentees communicate more effectively and teach the art of communicating to various audiences.
Unique, two sided learning – Our mentees learn new ways of thinking from their mentors, just as our mentors can learn from the mentees.
Network building – Our mentors offer an opportunity to expand mentees existing network of personal and professional contacts.
